If you've been around the Internet for a while now I'm sure you've run into those really lengthy sales pages - these are SO annoying. In fact, I don't care who you are, my mother, my father or my priest, if you send me to a sales page that is longer than 2 pages long chances are I'll click the little X and be on with my life. People inherently don't like reading long overdrawn content online. Books, that's a whole different story. But, to actually read someone trying to sell you something and have it be long? Good luck Chuck! The same thing is true when it comes to your free classified ads. It's really important that you don't run on and on about your product. A good description should look something like this:

Subject: Insert a fun or interesting title here - try to make it 4-8 words long and don't overuse punctuation marks

Price: Name the price of your item. If it's brand new, you can probably get a pretty good price for it, but don't overcharge people because chances are they won't fall for it! If anything, do a little searching around on the free classifieds site you are on and see if anyone else is offering the same item. If they are, make your price a few dollars lower than theirs. This isn't cheating, it's just a good business tip!

Description: This is a brand new iPhone from Apple - the Original! It comes in a sealed box from the manufacture. The box will include your brand new iPhone, stereo headset with mic, USB power cord adapter, dock connector to USB cable, documentation and user manual, a cleaning cloth and a SIM ejector tool! As you can see from the official apple store, the iPhone found here is $100 less! You can also receive free shipping if you live in the same state, but if not - I am also willing to give you a bargain!

* Nothing super complicated. Don't make it hard for people to read. Just clear and straight to the point! Next you will need to add pictures. Some sites let you use as many photos as you want while other sites will make you stop at X amount of pictures. Like eBay - you aren't charged for these photos. It is after all, a free classified ads site! You will also need to enter in your email address which will be anonymous, but its so people can contact you about the item, and you will need to check off any premium services added to the ad.

Frankly, I like the OPTION of choosing extras. If you don't want it that's cool. You could very well choose to put the item up for a week for free. If you don't get any bites, you can then try to do some featured options and see if that helps you out any - which it usually does! Online classified ads are a really nice way to make money and sell the things you don't want or need anymore, but you still need to follow some basic rules such as the ones above!
