Unpredictability is Lady Gaga's middle name (actually, it's Joanne Angelina). So naturally, any time she sits down for an interview, you can expect at least a few surprises to drop.

But when she spoke to Rolling Stone recently - she's featured on the cover of their summer double-issue, posing with a machine gun brassiere - she let them in on a few teasing glances of her future plans. The biggest of all: She's working on a whole new record, one that she says will include more anger than previous releases.

She revealed that she's toying with incorporating a more political bent into her music: "Why are we still talking about 'Don't ask, don't tell'?" Rolling Stone quoted her as saying. "It's like, what year is it? It makes me crazy! And I have been for three years baking cakes - and now I'm going to bake a cake that has a bitter jelly. The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before. Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be."

Bitter or not, it's sure to be one of Gaga's largest successes. It's hard to believe that it's been just two years since the 24-year-old pop star rose to fame. In fact, in a slightly hubristic act, she titled her debut after just that: "The Fame." Her follow-up, released the next year, was "The Fame Monster." Obviously, she has quite a focus on the subject of celebrity, and she certainly knows how to act like one. Her outrageous costume changes and stage designs have left more than a few critics with eye-popped reactions.

Now, she's moving on to a brand new tour, and with it, a whole new look (or series of looks, we should say). Gaga told Rolling Stone that she hasn't quite decided how to announce the new album. She might, she said impishly, have it tattooed on her back, then release a picture of it on New Year's Eve. That would certainly be one way of getting people's attention-but that's never been hard for this pop pixie.

While the news of a new record was the highlight of the Rolling Stone article, Gaga did offer up a few other secrets. She said that she had her heart broken by an ex-boyfriend five years ago, and that was the catalyst for her drive to become famous. She also reiterated her celibacy, saying that "sex is certainly not, like, a priority at the moment."

She also said that, of all the pop legends she looked up to, the one whose career she looks to the most frequently is Michael Jackson's: "Michael got burned, and he lifted that glittered glove so damn high so his fans could see him, because he was in the art of show business. That's what we do. I don't even drink water onstage in front of anybody, because I want them to focus on the fantasy of the music." Want to see Gaga in the future?
