Most of us, at least at one point in our lives, we have been fanatics of certain bands. Particularly the rock bands whose legacies have stood the test of time. Names like Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Korn, Metallica, AC/DC and many others have left their marks, not only in the music scene but also in popular culture. And these are just a few of the good reasons why they are considered legends.
We always share our fascination and the respect we have for them with our friends and even with the people that we meet each day. Although often we may not be conscious about it but in our own little ways we are spreading the word that the band we idolize is truly worthy of our time and admiration.
If you haven't been showcasing your fanatic reverence to the band you like, perhaps it is about time that you do so. Here are some of the ways people remember or show their love for their favorite bands.
1. By wearing band t-shirts.
T-shirts have always been one of the primary mediums used to commemorate rock bands. Because just think about it. When you go to a rock concert, you do not go there wearing a suit. Most often you would be wearing a t-shirt and usually it has that band's name or faces printed on it. It's your instant way of telling and showing your fellow band fanatics that you are just like them and that the band is also your favorite.
Another reason why band t-shirts are popular is because they are cheap therefore anybody can have his or her own t-shirt of that band. Even the whole process of making them is inexpensive.
2. Hoodies are also popular.
Of course, it depends on the kind of band you are following. Nevertheless hoodies have gained ground as a favorite of a lot of fans. Just like the band t-shirts, the name or logo or the band members themselves are often printed on the front of the hoodie. Some people just find the hoodie much cooler because of the hood and the large frontal pockets. Those are utility features you don't find in a t-shirt.
3. Compilation CDs
What good is your admiration to your favorite band if you do not have a collection of their songs? Music labels have commemorated these legendary bands by releasing CDs that feature the best songs of these bands. However, if you are a real fanatic, you would certainly have your own collection of their individual albums and not just the compilations.
4. Stickers, buttons and badges.
These you can put on almost anywhere: your car, backpack, guitar, and others. If you have an object that you would like to make an instant medium of your admiration to your band, putting a sticker on it or a badge or button will do the job. A simple looking knapsack when pinned with a button can quickly become a Nirvana material.
5. Posters
Now this one's a classic. You can make your own room look like a shrine for your band by simply putting up a poster or two on your walls. And the bigger the poster, the better it usually is.
