There are several different reasons people wear hats. For those that play sports they might wear a hat as a part of their uniform. For sports that are outside it might be to help shield the sun from their eyes. Then there are those that wear hats when they go outside due to their scalps being sensitive to the sun and they have to protect their face and head. Then there are others that love to wear one to exercise. It is perfect to be able to keep their hair out of their face when they are sweating.

For others they might get a Sunday bonnet to go with their dress. Then there are those that love to wear hats so that they don't have to do their hair every day. They find it easier to wear a hat than going through the process of curling their hair.
