Taking a weekend retreat to cruise out in the desert or over the back county on a four-wheeler is a great experience. Just letting the wind blow across your face as you speed over the open terrain is exhilarating. Taking a few jumps and opening up the throttle as the go-anywhere traction of the two seat vehicle navigates the unspoiled countryside makes for a perfect retreat from the toils of city life. With a packed up RV for camping and few of the luxuries of home you can stay out for a couple of days or plan for a weeklong vacation of high adrenaline fun.

Being able to travel across any landscape and work through any conditions that might be encountered as you weather the elements, the All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) has become a favorite transport for outdoor enthusiasts and hunters alike. Tackling mud, sand, snow, and even forging shallow streams the ATV is truly designed to traverse any environment and bring the rider safely back to camp after exploring the wilderness.

Often returning covered in dirt, it is important to clean and inspect each vehicle after taking it out of the garage and into the natural landscaping of North America. In particular the owner should be aware of any debris that has been caught in the wheels behind and underneath the axle and should examine the individual ATV CV joint of every hub and wheel bearing to ensure that there are no tears or damage to the housing that holds the bearings and allows the proper rotation of the wheel. By checking for small rips or holes that might have been punctured by a lose branch or sharp rock, owners of ATVs can keep their recreational off-road vehicles running at peak performance.

If an ATV CV joint has been damaged it must be replaced before venturing out into the wilderness on the next trip that takes the owner out of the daily grind and into the vast expanse of Mother Nature. Finding a replacement part is simple enough, but it is vital to keep the same size and model number of the replacement as the original, as CV joints vary by the size of the ATV and the wheels that are on it. Through searching for the manufacturer and model of their ATV at a parts website, owners can quickly and easily find and order what they need to keep their motorized transport going over every type of road condition and through every kind of weather that is encountered along the path of outdoor adventure.
