When Bentley was first founded on 18 January 1919, the company's primary focus was on racing. High performance cars were what were required and for over a decade Bentley produced some of the best racing cars in the world.

Taken over by Rolls-Royce in 1931, Bentley's became known as a cheaper variation of a traditional Rolls-Royce after World War II, until they began to establish themselves over the coming years as one of the leaders in the luxury car market.

Now widely known around the world as a company that produces cars of the utmost superiority, if you're looking for a car that boasts class and style, then a Bentley is one of only a very small selection of manufacturers that you should be looking at.

Having over a dozen separate models currently on sale in the UK, the following 5 are some of the most notable in Bentley dealers in 2010.

1. Mulsanne - named with a tip of the hat to the company's fantastic racing history (the Mulsanne Straight is part of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race), the Mulsanne costs over 200,000 pounds and Bentley provides buyers with an array of different choices, including over 100 individual paint colours.

2. Arnage Final Series - only 150 of this Bentley are to be built, with production of the Arnage range finishing once the 150th Final Series has been sold.

Looking like a traditionally luxurious Bentley, the Arnage Final Series is packed full of modern technology to give this classic looking car a particularly 21st century feel.

3. Brooklands - whilst Bentley are known more for their four door models, they have produced some stunning two door cars, with the Brooklands two door coupe being one of the most notable.

A particularly sporty Bentley, the Brooklands reaches 60 miles per hour in 5 seconds, has a top speed of just less than 184 miles per hour and via the 6.75 litre V8 engine, produces 530 brake horsepower.

4. Azure T - with the Azure originally manufactured from 1995 to 2003, the latest range was redesigned in 2006 and the additional variant, the Azure T, was released 3 years later in 2009.

Having all of the same design aspects as the standard Azure, the Azure T is marketed as a higher performing model, featuring lower front air vents and two-piece alloy wheels, as well as a twin turbocharged engine which can touch 60 miles per hour in 6.1 seconds.

5. Continental Supersports - a first in the world of Bentley, the Continental Supersports is the first car to enter Bentley dealers that can run on two separate fuels, petrol and biofuels. In addition, this model is also the fastest Bentley ever produced, capable of reaching 204.4 miles per hour, according to official statistics.

Coming in a two seated coupe version as standard, a four seated convertible is expected to be available in the second part of 2010, with a guide price of over one quarter of a million US dollars.
