5 New Cars Entering The Market Over The Next Year

Every year there are dozens of new cars entering the market. Some are revamped versions of previous models, some are developments on current models and others are completely new cars, never before seen by the general public.

Whilst 2010 has been a relatively quiet year so far for new car production, the following 5 cars are some of the best to enter the market through the coming 12 months.

1. Honda CR-Z - arguably one of the best looking hybrid cars ever to be produced, the CR-Z (which stands for Compact Renaissance Zero) went on sale through Honda dealerships in Japan in February 2010 and is due to enter Honda dealerships around the world in the latter part of the year.

Manufactured with a 1.5 litre petrol engine, working alongside an electric motor, it is expected to cost around 17,000 pounds and should be able to return around 35 MPG - a respectable figure considering its being marketed as a hybrid sports car.

2. VW Touareg - first introduced in 2002, the Touareg is VW's take on the modern day SUV and is one of the brand's most powerful vehicles, packing a substantial 5 litre engine in the first generation range.

The first generation is due to end production this year, as a new generation was showcased on 17 February 2010.

Whilst production isn't due to start for another year, it is already leaving those in the car industry desperate to see it roll off the production line - with an 8 speed automatic gear box and four engine choices between a 3 litre V6 and a 4.2 litre V8, it's of no wonder why.

3. Range Rover V8 TDi - although the second generation of Range Rover was when its popularity began to blossom, it was when the third generation entered production in 2002 that the popularity of Land Rover's Range Rover really began to show.

Already available in four different engine sizes - a BMW 2.9 litre, Jaguar 4.2 litre, BMW 4.4 litre and Jaguar 4.4 litre - the 2010 model is due to have a 4 litre engine, 300 break horsepower and - most notably for a Range Rover - a distinct drop in carbon dioxide emissions.

4. Aston Martin One-77 - first showcased in 2008 at the Paris Motor Show, the Aston Martin One-77 is one of the most eagerly anticipated cars of 2010, with 50 of the 77 to be produced rumoured to already have been sold.

With an absolutely breathtaking 7.3 litre V12, there are no set prices for the One-77 as of yet, although most speculative reports are pricing it at in excess of 1 million pounds.

5. Bentley Mulsanne - the Mulsanne was produced back in 1980 for 12 years, until manufacturing of the 6.75 V8 engined Bentley stopped.

Restarting in 2010, the new Mulsanne tips its hat towards its older variation, with the same 6.75 Rolls-Royce V8 and of a similar design.

With prices due to start at 220,000 pounds, the Daily Telegraph reported on 3 December 2009 that each Mulsanne is expected to take nine weeks to manufacture from start to finish and will offer its buyers an array of different options, right down to the colour of the carpets.
