Tim McGraw's concerts are nothing short of fiery. Recently the country crooner told the Omaha World Herald that he's fired up for his current touring stint, even though he admits that sometimes it's difficult to navigate the demanding schedule. For this father of three, however, family always comes first and this time around daughters Gracie, Maggie and Audrey are tagging along with dear old dad. McGraw told the Herald, "Family is right up there first - the kids' schedule and all of the things they're doing. After that everything else finds its place."
While Tim McGraw is busying touring and writing material for a new album, he's also penciled in some time to act in a new movie called Love Don't Let Me Down, starring alongside Gwyneth Paltrow. McGraw is accompanied by the Grammy-winning group Lady Antebellum on all of his performance dates this spring and summer and will also be joined by Love and Theft and the Lost Trailers on select dates. Don't miss seeing McGraw as he juggles his time between traveling, recording, acting and spending quality time with the family. Get Tim McGraw tickets online today.
McGraw's 12th studio album Southern Voice was issued in October 2009, fronted by the single "It's a Business Doing Pleasure With You." The track ultimately reached the No. 13 spot, with other lead songs on the album like "Southern Voice," "Still" and "I Didn't Know the Time" quickly following. McGraw reflected on the hard work involved with making Southern Voice on his website, saying, "For me, making a record isn't just going in and having fun. It's going in and digging and digging and trying to get what inside of me out, and never quite getting there. And that's what keeps you going back and trying again."
Tim McGraw got his start in the country music world when he debuted in the early 1990s. Although his first album flopped almost immediately upon its release in 1993, he charged forward and released a sophomore effort Not a Moment Too Soon in 1994. The hit single "Indian Outlaw" found a spot in the country Top 10 as well as the pop Top 20 and helped ignite the success of his second single "Don't Take the Girl," which hit the top of the charts. Suddenly and seemingly without warning, Tim McGraw was a bona fide star. Fans couldn't get enough of the rugged, scruffy singer, and his follow-up albums took over the charts.
Over the course of the 1990s, McGraw released several CDs, including the popular All I Want, Everywhere and A Place in the Sun (the latter of which hit triple platinum). He also married country star Faith Hill, with whom he would ultimately collaborate on a variety of singles and albums. The first decade of the 2000s was also good to McGraw, who always managed to stay on top with albums like Set This Circus Down, Live Like You Were Dying and a self-titled effort.
These days McGraw might as well be the king of country. His tours bring together legions of fans and best yet, he usually gets to have his family right alongside him on the road.
