Online blog marketing is not your typical internet marketing website or informational blog. Blog marketing is more than providing general information for the general Internet population.
To be a successful online blog marketer, you have to provide your visitors new and informative content and high quality products. If you don't, your visitors will never return. You must put in the effort to make your online marketing blog a success. Not everyone will make thousands of dollars a month from their blogs, however, if you work hard and provide high quality unique content and products, anyone can make money, it just requires persistence and dedication to being successful.
Blogging requires a blogger to post new articles and information on a consistent basis. It doesn't matter if it's daily or weekly. As long as you post consistently, your blog will eventually start bringing you in a nice residual income. It's the new content you offer that will keep visitors coming back every week or as often as you update your blog. The more you update your content, the more the major search engines will visit your site, and the more times they visit, the higher chances of them indexing your blog.
One of the primary differences in building an authority website and an authority blog is a blog doesn't require you to know design or formatting. A blog is already formatted, and can be modified easily. Being template driven, you can make your blog as fancy or plain as you wish.
One of the features a blog offers that a standard website doesn't, is the ability for your visitors to leave comments and suggestions about your content and products. Having comments or feedback can add to your blogs popularity as well as provide the search engines with more unique content to increase your blogs page rank over time. The comments provided will allow you, the blogmaster, the opportunity to add, change or even delete some content depending on the comments left.
So, how can you become successful as an online blog marketer? Here are a few suggestions to help you on your way to your blogging dreams.
First, you have to have an idea about what you want your blog to be about. You need to research your niche (what you want you blog subject to be) research the keywords that will drive people to you blog when they do a keyword search in the search engines, and then select a theme that projects the appearance and image you want for your online business.
Build your database (this is so simple with cPanel, you won't have to worry about a thing). Install your blogging platform (preferably Word Press), upload your articles and schedule them for publication.
Design your blog it with your visitors in mind. Make it simple to get from one page to another and back to your home page.
Decide which plug-ins you want to use to make your blog user friendly and optimized for all the search engines. Set up Twitter and other social networking sites with available plugins.
Next, get your content written, or have someone write it for you. If you plan on using PLR articles, it's suggested that you rewrite them in your own 'voice' prior to putting them on your site. Do NOT post all of your articles at one time. Schedule them to be posted over a period of hours, days and weeks.
A schedule I like is to do 4 articles a day for the first five days. Post the articles at a specific time period each day. This allows you to 'train' the search engines to visit your site early and often.
Example: 4 articles a day. Start at a specific time each day, post one article, then, schedule the next article to post 2 hours later, the third article 2 hours after that and the fourth article two hours later. Do this every day for 5 days.
Next, Post 1 article every 72 hours, again schedule them to post at approximately the same time each day. Do this for one week and then schedule one article to post every five days for the rest of the life of your blog.
