Are you looking for few tips for writing your research paper? In this fantastic article, you will learn a few good tips on writing an outline, the introduction of your paper, a rough draft, and final draft.

We will start by discussing the outline:

The outline is a very critical step in helping you to write a research paper smoothly. The more time you spend on making a great outline, the easier it is for you to write an excellent research paper.

1. Always start off by writing an introduction at the top of your outline. This introduction should have a thesis statement that will be the general idea of your introduction. You want to make sure that the introduction will cover the topic of your research paper.

2. After the introduction of your outline, you will put the first main heading right under it. You will also have subheadings under the headings to expand your ideas for each point that you want to make for your research paper.

3. You can use index cards to figure out which of the cards you will use to talk about and state your points.

You want to spend some time to work on your thesis statement in your introduction. This is not something that you want to rush because it can make or break your paper. It should be short and straight to the point. You should never write an opinion statement that starts with, "I believe..." or "I think..." because they will reduce the credibility of your research paper.

After you come up with a solid thesis statement for your research paper, it is time to expand it by writing out a few points for each paragraph that follows the introduction. Your points in the heading should then be expanded to subheadings with more points to follow.

The subheadings can cover small little details of each heading. This will help you a lot with your writing when you are finally going to write your first rough draft.

Follow this simple system to write your outline, and then work on your conclusion that should wrap up the ideas of your research paper. Your conclusion should not include new ideas because it should only be a summary. You can then take some time to review your outline, and make sure each point is precise and that the points in each heading flows from top to bottom.

Now, you are onto the rough draft of your research paper:

Many students make the mistake of treating the rough draft like a final draft paper. By being so careful with every little detail to make the paper perfect for the rough draft, it will take you forever to finish the paper, and you might have a difficult time staying focused. Take a good look at your outline, and just write as fast as possible. Do not worry about your grammar or writing stuff that does not make sense.

Once you finish writing the paper, now you want to review it to correct any mistakes. You can take a good look at the paper, and you can even show your professor the rough draft so your teacher can help you with suggestions and corrections on your grammar and other errors.
