Of course you will want the apartment to be in a good area and you will want it to be clean, but what will follow are tips to help decide if apartment is big enough for you.
Usually, when you are first entering an apartment, you are stepping into the living room. What is your preference for the main living spaces? Do you want a large living space where you can have people over and have enough space to move around in, or is it just going to be you and you really don't need much room? Is all of your living room furniture going to fit in the space provided in this apartment?
Next is the kitchen. The major part of the kitchen is the counter top space. Do you have enough room to cook your meals? Is there space for a dishwasher and a microwave? Then we come to the bedrooms. Is it just you? Do you have multiple children sharing the same room? These are factors to consider when choosing a bedroom size. Also, how much bedroom furniture do you own? Is it going to fit into the floor plan that the apartment has to offer?
Lastly, how much storage space do you need? Some apartments come with garages, attic space, and walk-in closets. Some will even have basement space for you to store extra belongings. Although, many apartments seem to have only the bare minimum when it comes to storage space for you to put away your belongings.
