If you're the kind of person who gets all crazy when it comes to matching everything, then you might also want to take a picture of the color scheme in your house and take it to any store and get some color samples to take home and browse different colors whether their unusual or not.
It may occur to you that you are so protective of what you want and only you know what you want that you only have anyone else help you. That's fine if you want to do it by yourself, but you also don't want to be putting a lot of stress on yourself. Having help is a good thing.
